The Mermaid Picture Felt Kit contains:
Enough pure merino fleece in 12 different shades – white, 5 colours of the sea, yellow, grey, 2 shades pink and black to complete either one large picture or 2 medium sized pictures (approx. 300mm x 150mm) or 4 smaller pictures (approx 150mm x 210mm). The kit also contains curly wool fibres, prefelt, sparkly net with coloured silk fibres.
Full instructions, felting needle, templates, pure olive oil soap flakes, thin plastic sheet, foam and bubble wrap.
A small picture normally takes about 1 hour.

You can do small amounts at a time; only the very last part should be done in one go.
This felting kit can be used as an introduction to felt making; the instructions will give you a guide on how to build up a mermaid felted picture with fish and starfish. You will learn how to make a felted mermaids, fish and starfish. The felting needle is included to help you define the shapes in the felted picture and add details.
Whilst there are directions in the felt kit, you will only be limited by your imagination in building up the felted picture.

I get my merino fleece from a renowned UK Wool Merchant, who sources the merino wool from non-mulesed flocks in South America, and then dyes the fleece using dyes that are non-toxic, colour fast and baby-safe. The mermaid kit also has curly sheep fleece, sourced from UK flocks and then hand-dyed by me in my studio in Somerset.
