The Sheep Picture Felt Kit contains:
Enough pure merino fleece in 12 different shades – white, 3 shades blue, 3 shades green, 3 shades pink/red, brown and black to complete either one large A4+ picture or 6 smaller pictures. The kit also contains white, black and green curly fleece with contrasting coloured recycled sari silk.
Full instructions, felting needle, template, soap flakes, thin plastic sheet, foam and bubble wrap.
A small picture normally takes about 1 hour.
You can do small amounts at a time; only the very last part should be done in one go.
This felting kit can be used as an introduction to felt making; the instructions will give you a guide on how to build up a landscape felted picture. You will learn how to make a felted tree using curly fleece. You will also learn how to create felted sheep, including black lambs and birds. The felting needle is included to help you define the shapes in the felted picture.
Whilst there are directions in the felt kit, you will only be limited by your imagination in building up the felted picture.
Artfelt’s high quality felt-making kits are all individually and carefully designed. Everything you need to start felting is included – all you need are some simple household items, warm water and your own creative hands. There are individual illustrated instructions and the sheep picture kit also has its own unique tutorial, giving a simple step by step guide. These great kits use the finest soft merino tops 70s (21 micron). I get my merino fleece from a renowned UK Wool Merchant, who sources the merino wool from non-mulesed flocks in South America, and then dyes the fleece using dyes that are non-toxic, colour fast and baby-safe. The sheep picture kit also has curly sheep fleece, sourced from UK flocks and then hand-dyed by me in my studio in Somerset.
